Location
This year’s conference will be held at the historic Jekyll Island Club Hotel in beautiful Jekyll Island, Georgia. Jekyll Island is just off the Georgia coast, about halfway between Savannah, Georgia, and Jacksonville, Florida.
The grand tradition of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel began a century ago when it was founded as an exclusive retreat for members of America’s highest society. Today, where Morgan, Pulitzer, Rockefeller, and Vanderbilt once came to relax, discerning visitors may enjoy the same unique combination of natural beauty and elegant architecture, private amenities, and personal service.
The hotel boasts a historical past. In the late 1880s, Jekyll Island became a winter retreat for America’s wealthiest, including the Rockefellers, Pulitzers, and Morgans. The Jekyll Island Club was considered the most exclusive club in the world, and its membership possessed one-sixth of the world’s wealth. Visits by these wealthy citizens led to historical events at the Club, including the formation of the Federal Reserve System (1910) and the first transcontinental phone call (1915).
